Their spirit animal, drawn by hand as a one-of-one mask
Tell me the animal that sums them up, the colours they live in and the things they will not shut up about. I draw all of it into one symmetrical mask, line by line, in ink. The kind of picture people stand in front of for a long time.
From €300 for an A4 ink original, quoted exactly before you pay anything.

- One of one. Drawn by hand, never printed, never repeated.
- You approve the sketch before any ink goes down.
- Drawn in Warsaw, Poland. Shipped worldwide.
Masks I've drawn
Black ink on paper is where it starts. Colour and wood panel are the step up.

“The mask is not the face, the face is the mask.”
Not a disguise. The opposite.
Most masks hide a face. This one is built from the parts people usually keep to themselves: the animal they secretly are, the weird hobby, the thing they are quietly the king of.
What comes back looks the same on the outside as they feel on the inside. Give one, and it says what a card never could: I see exactly who you are, and I love it.
Four things I need to know
That is the whole brief. Answer them in the form, badly is fine.
The animal
Which creature sums them up? The owl who never sleeps, the fox who talks their way out of anything. This becomes the face.
The colours
The colours they wear, the colours in their home, the ones they would never be seen dead in. Or keep it black ink, like most of the originals here.

What they are king of
Music, climbing, fermenting things in jars, the dog. Every obsession becomes a symbol woven into the headdress and the pattern.
How they want to be seen
Fierce, playful, calm, a bit feral. This decides the expression, which is the part people stare at longest.
Already know their animal?
Tell me about themHow a mask gets made
Four steps, about four weeks, and nothing is permanent until you say so.
You tell me about them
Fill in the form at the bottom of this page. A messy list is perfect. I reply within 2–4 working days with a fixed quote.
I sketch the mask
A 50% deposit books your slot and I draw the composition. You see it and we move things until it is right. No ink goes down until you sign it off.
I ink it by hand
Every line, every eye, every scale. This is the slow part, and the part people lean in close for.
It arrives
Rolled in tissue, packed in a sturdy tube, tracked all the way to you. Then you get to watch their face when they open it.
Watch one come out of the page
Three timelapses, first line to finished mask.
Questions people ask
What does a custom mask cost?
From €300 for an A4 original in black ink. Colour, bigger sizes and wood panels cost more, and price moves with how much you want packed in. You get a fixed quote before you pay anything.
How long does it take?
Four weeks from the deposit is typical. Three is the fastest I can do it properly. In busy stretches, usually the run-up to Christmas, it can stretch to eight. Shipping is on top. If you have a birthday or a festival to hit, tell me early and I will tell you straight whether it is doable.
Is it something you wear?
No. It is an original artwork of a mask, drawn to hang on a wall, like every piece on this page. Think of it as a portrait of who they are underneath, rather than a costume.
I am hopeless at describing people. What if I get it wrong?
Most people think they are, and it has never been a problem. Their animal, a handful of obsessions, a few photos, a half-thought. Finding the mask in the pile is my job, not yours.
What if the sketch is not what I pictured?
Then we change it. You see the composition before anything is permanent, and that is exactly what the sketch stage is for. By the time I am inking, there are no surprises left.
Can I commission one for myself?
Yes. Plenty of people want their own. The brief is the same, you just have to be honest about which animal you are.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit books your job into my calendar. If I have not started, the deposit comes back. Once I am into sketching it is non-refundable, because that week is real work.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, from Warsaw, Poland. A paper piece is rolled in tissue inside a sturdy tube, tracked, from around €20 depending on where you are.
Can you frame it?
We can organise that. It is worked out case by case before the project starts.
Can the mask go on a skateboard, surfboard or guitar?
Yes. A mask can go on almost any surface. Boards have their own page with their own prices. See board painting.
Tell me whose mask this is
Who is it for, what is their animal, what are they into, and is there a date it has to land on? The more you tell me, the stranger and truer the mask gets.

Spirit animals, totems and gifting: good to know
Answers to what people ask before they commission one.
What is a good gift for someone who loves festivals and psychedelic art?
Something made just for them. Festival gift guides are full of fun hoodies, tapestries and prints; this is the one thing on the list nobody else can have. A hand-drawn mask built from their spirit animal, their colours and their obsessions is one of one, and it keeps the festival on their wall all year. It works for birthdays, anniversaries and the partner who already has every piece of merch going.
How do I find out someone’s spirit animal?
Watch what they already love and how they move through the world. Which animal do they point out on every walk, keep on their phone lock screen or get tattooed? Are they the night owl, the fox who talks their way out of anything, the snow leopard who disappears for days? Nicknames and in-jokes count. If you are stuck between two, send me both: a mask can carry a main animal and a second one hidden in the headdress.
What do the animals in a mask usually stand for?
Common associations, not rules: the owl for wisdom and night-time thinking, the fox for wit and cunning, the snow leopard for independence, the lizard for adapting and renewing, the panda for gentleness, the walrus for steadiness and a big heart. What matters more is what the animal means to the person. That is why the brief asks about them, not about the animal.
What is a totem mask?
Traditionally, a mask representing a totem: an animal or spirit important to a family, clan or community, used in ceremony and storytelling across many cultures. My masks borrow the idea, not the ceremony. They are personal totems, a portrait of one person as the animal and symbols that belong to them, drawn in my own psychedelic, symmetrical style.
What is visionary art?
Art that tries to show an inner world: spirit, altered states, the patterns you see with your eyes closed. It grew up alongside psychedelic music and festival culture, and you will see it on stages, tents and posters across the scene. My masks sit in that world, hand-drawn rather than digital, and built around one real person instead of a universal figure.
Why are symmetrical drawings so hard to stop looking at?
The eye goes to the centre line and then gets lost in the detail on either side. Drawing them works the same way: when I step back from a mask, my focus gets caught in the middle like a trap. That is what makes one good on a wall: there is always something new to find.
What is the difference between an original artwork and a print?
An original carries the hand that made it. Prints are a great way to live with art you love, and there is a place for them. An original is the one sheet the pen actually touched: every mark, every pressure change, every tiny wobble where the ink met the paper. That is where the spirit of a piece lives. A mask here is designed from your brief, approved by you and inked by hand once, so the one on their wall is the only one that exists.
Is it AI?
No. Every line is drawn by hand in ink. The timelapses on this page show the pen going down, start to finish.
How should I hang or frame an ink drawing on paper?
Frame it behind glass with an acid-free mount, and hang it out of direct sunlight, which fades ink and yellows paper over time. A mount that leaves a margin of white around the mask makes the detail read from across a room. If you would rather arrive with it framed, ask me when you enquire: framing is worked out case by case.
Can I give a mask as a surprise?
Yes. You send the brief, you approve the sketch, and they only see it when it arrives. Tell me the date early so it lands in time.
