This page covers one thing: what happens to what you type into the enquiry form. There is no other data collection on this site.
Who is responsible
Sam Shennan, an independent artist based in Warsaw, Poland, is the data controller. Contact: hello@samshennan.com.
What is collected
- Your name, email address and message — what you type.
- How you found the site — only if you choose an answer; it's optional.
- Which page you came from — a single word such as "murals", so the reply can be about the right work.
- Your IP address — used only as a counter to stop one sender flooding the form. It is held in memory for ten minutes and never written to a log, a file or a database.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views, visits and page-performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals. The analytics beacon is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser storage, fingerprint visitors, or collect or use visitors' personal data, and does not track people across its customers' sites. We have not configured custom interaction or event-level tracking. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and its data practices.
Why, and on what basis
To read your message and reply to it. The lawful basis is your request: you asked to be contacted, so processing is necessary to take steps at your request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and beyond that, the legitimate interest of answering someone who wrote in (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who else sees it
Your message is delivered by Resend, an email delivery provider, and arrives in Sam's mailbox. It is not shared with anyone else or sold. If you tick the optional newsletter box, your request to receive artwork and studio updates is included in that email, with the wording you agreed to and the time it was received. Leaving the box unticked means you haven't opted in. You can withdraw your newsletter consent anytime by emailing hello@samshennan.com.
How long it is kept
Enquiries stay in the mailbox for 24 months and are then deleted. There is no separate database, CRM or spreadsheet copy.
What you can ask for
A copy of what is held, a correction, or deletion — emailhello@samshennan.com and it will be done. You can also complain to your national data protection authority; in Poland that is the UODO.
