What was the brief?

Create a botanical mural for the café at NRMA’s headquarters. The artwork needed to sit comfortably with the soft interior designed by Davenport Campbell.

How did I approach the mural?

I combined fantastical floral forms with native flora and chose a pastel palette. The idea was a hidden garden within a busy café, with the artwork following the room rather than competing with it.

What did the finished mural look like?

Botanical line work wraps the café walls, alongside the counter and seating. The finished photos show the mural as part of the furnished space.
